TOGETHER WITH | | Good morning, Forsyth County.
There's a particular stretch of Freedom Parkway I've been driving past for months now, watching the new county campus take shape one beam and brick at a time. This week, Forsyth County officially announced that Freedom Park is nearly ready for its close-up, with open houses and a ribbon cutting later this month. It's a big milestone. When the current Administration Building opened on Main Street back in 1996, our county was home to about 60,000 people. Today, we're over 280,000. That kind of growth demands new infrastructure, but what I find encouraging is that the campus was designed with trails, green space, and room to breathe. Spring is knocking on the door, and there's no shortage of reasons to get out and enjoy what makes this corner of Georgia special. I hope you find something in here worth sharing with a neighbor.

| There Are People Who Were Born to Work the Land. They Just Need to Find It.
Somewhere right now, an organic farm in Tennessee is short-handed at harvest. A family ranch in Montana needs someone who knows cattle. A permaculture garden in the Carolinas is looking for a dedicated apprentice willing to learn.
And somewhere right now, the right person for each of those jobs is still looking.
PlayInDirtJobs is America's job board built specifically for farming, gardening, and ranching. Hundreds of listings. Every type of operation, from CSA vegetable farms to biodynamic vineyards to working ranches. Many positions include housing, meals, and hands-on training from experienced farmers.
Job seekers browse and apply completely free. Employers post in minutes and reach thousands of people who are passionate about agricultural work, not just looking for a paycheck.
This is not a desk job site with a farming filter bolted on. It was built from the ground up for people who'd rather have dirt under their fingernails than fluorescent lights overhead.

A ribbon cutting ceremony kicks off at 3:30 PM on March 18. The 135,000-square-foot building will house over a dozen departments and roughly 335 employees when administrative offices officially relocate on March 30, ending 30 years at 110 E. Main Street. The campus also features a one-mile paved trail already open for public use. | Pies on Post to close its doors after five years | Pies on Post, a popular pizza restaurant in west Forsyth County, will close for good on March 15 after five years of serving the community. The restaurant became a neighborhood gathering spot known for its wood-fired pies and laid-back atmosphere. Residents looking for a final slice have less than two weeks to visit before the doors close permanently. The Forsyth County News first reported the closure on March 2. | Cumming pilot turns robot hobby into booming business | A Forsyth County airline pilot has built something unexpected in his off hours: a thriving retail business. David Leyva, owner of The Gundam Place at 580 Atlanta Road in Cumming, started collecting Gundam model kits after spotting one in a Tokyo shop years ago. What began as a late-night hobby after the kids went to bed grew into a storefront, a warehouse, and nearly a dozen employees. The shop specializes in Gundam robots, a Japanese science fiction franchise, and has become a gathering spot for local fans of the hobby. Leyva says the business has grown 30 to 40 percent every year and now outearns his day job flying planes. For Leyva, the appeal is simple: the robots are engineered like real aircraft, with cockpits, removable armor, and movable limbs.
