In theory, all of this should have freed us up for long afternoons on the porch and a general sense of calm.
Instead, most people feel like they are running late to a meeting that may not even exist. Maybe the problem is that every minute technology saves gets immediately spent somewhere else. Answer one text, get three more. Clear out your inbox, and it fills right back up. Knock out your errands faster, and now you have room for two more errands. Modern life keeps promising efficiency. This project features a brand new six-story patient tower that will span 260,000 square feet and provide 96 additional rooms for those staying at the hospital. Along with the new tower, crews will renovate 57,000 square feet of existing space to keep the facility modern. The plans also include a much larger emergency department, a new lab, and a pharmacy to better serve the community. To help with the extra traffic, a new 500-space parking deck is also in the works. While the main tower should be finished by the end of 2028, a new four-story medical office building nearby is nearing completion and will likely open this fall. The ceremony brought together True North 400, the Georgia Department of Transportation and SR 400 Peach Partners to mark the official start of work on the corridor. The project will add express lanes along Ga. 400 through Forsyth County and North Atlanta, a change expected to shape one of the region’s busiest commuter routes for years to come. For Forsyth residents who rely on Ga. 400 every day, the groundbreaking marks the beginning of a major construction effort and a significant milestone in the long-running push to address congestion on the highway. | North Forsyth Family Loses Home in Fire, but Bible Survives | A north Forsyth County couple lost their home and nearly everything inside it after a fast-moving fire tore through the property on Watson Road Wednesday, April 22. According to Forsyth County News, windy conditions helped drive the flames, turning the fire into a devastating loss for the family. The destruction was severe, leaving little behind as firefighters responded to the scene. Amid the damage, one detail stood out: the family’s Bible survived the flames. That unexpected discovery became the emotional center of the story, offering a small point of hope in the middle of an overwhelming day.
